Talley Murphy (she/they) is a stage director, filmmaker, and performance studies writer.
Tallet's directing work includes multimedia, site-specific, and immersive theatre. Their film work includes a short film about the environment and Catastrophe: An Improvisation (Rhode Island School of Design), as well as Fullscreen Blackbox’s autoplay series & Zoom play remote. They have held dramaturgy roles at Trinity Rep and Brown University.
Talley is a curator at Fullscreen Blackbox.
Talley is a PhD candidate in Theatre Arts and Performance Studies at Brown University. Their research concerns movement and biopolitics, the future of racial capitalism, and performance in carceral states.
Talley also designs video and projections. Talley has a BA in Theatre with a concentration in directing from Barnard College.
